Hydro Extrusion – Office with a Minimalist Design
In our previous posts, we introduced you to our Hydro aluminium foundry project and the challenges of the designing process. This time we would like to present something more on the astetic side of the project, the interior design of the office building.
Hydro Extrusion Hungary Kft. has a Norwegian parent company, so it was an important aspect of the interior design to harmoniously present the minimalist style and the company’s branding colours in the interior spaces.
Entering the office building, visitors are greeted by a multi-level space, made even more impressive by the large glass façade. The levels are connected by a floating staircase with a special support structure. The lobby walls and stairs are also covered with the distinctive blue branding colour, while it also features a warmer touch of the bauxite red furnitures. Directly accessible from the lobby there is an exhibition area where the different aluminium products will be displayed in the future, with a unique aluminium cladding on the wall.
It is in the open office spaces and meeting rooms that the lightness of interior design is truly felt, with curved glass walls designed to separate the meeting rooms, and the warmth of the wooden furniture alternating with the coolness of the blue wall covers and glass surfaces in the various spaces.
