BME students’ professional day in our office
Every year, we have an all-day course for the Bachelor students studying at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Like last year, we were visited by a group of students.
In the morning, we started with a tour around the office, followed by a detailed presentation held by our BIM studio leader Zsolt Oláh about the cooperation between the departments and the software the studios use. Then Bence Emődi, on of our project coordinators presented about the tasks of the project management team. The lunch break was followed by presentations about using BIM technology in practice. One of our designers, Gábor Pljesovszki explained the details of BIM-based structural engineering. Our BIM expert Tamás Déri introduced our software developments and Zsolt Oláh talked about our role in BIM-based quality control. We had a truly eventful day. The positive feedback of the students is always a pleasure because we believe it is important that they take an interest in the practical experience of engineering during their university studies.

Hydro Extrusion’s solutions: heat dissipation
By Hydro's aluminium foundry project presented us with an unusual design challenge. We have strong acoustic requirements to protect the neighbourhood, and that the furnaces generate a lot of heat, which we had to dissipate while minimising noise.
