The client, Schott Hungary Kft., has decided to expand its production facilities in Lukácsháza, Hungary for the manufacturing of RTU ® (Ready to use) primary packaging for the pharmaceutical industry. The current phase of the expansion involves the construction of the BAU10 manufacturing building. STUDIO IN-EX has been appointed to the modified building permit documentation for the disciplines, as well as the complete multi-disciplinary detailed design.
The client has commissioned the General Contractor STRABAG Generálépítő Kft. to manage both the design and construction of the project. Together with them, we prepared the design based on the BAU10 concept design, the as-built documentation of the existing buildings, the data provided by the client, and insights gathered during intensive coordination meetings. Technological design remained the client’s responsibility, requiring close and intensive collaboration among all involved parties to achieve a fully coordinated design.
The BAU10 production building connects to the existing BAU9 building at three independent points, two on ground level and a connecting bridge. The new building consists of two floors and a mezzanine level located above the cleanroomhousing all mechanical and electrical equipment serving the ground-floor production technology. The hygienic classifications of the spaces range from CNC to ISO 7 and 8 with higher hygiene zones inside of manufacturing equipment.
