Children in the World of Engineering – #showuswhatyoudo Day
In the spring of 2026, the STUDIO IN-EX office once again filled with life as we hosted our now traditional #showuswhatyoudo day. This occasion is special every year, as it gives children not only the chance to hear about what their parents do, but also to experience it firsthand.
he day started together: preschoolers and schoolchildren alike were immersed in the world of architecture. Dani Dobszai gave an engaging presentation tailored for kids, offering insight into how the idea of a building is born and the playful, creative process behind design.
After that, the programs split. The younger children were treated to stories: “The Three Little Pigs and the Architect” and the adventures of “Electro Sprite” entertained them while subtly teaching valuable lessons. Meanwhile, the older children took a deeper dive into building engineering design with Réka Szilágyi, learning what it takes to make a building truly functional and comfortable.
But the learning didn’t stop there. With Balázs Kocsis, a shared discovery game began in the office: using plans, the children set off on a “mission” to locate different system elements—fire alarms, smoke detectors, cameras, and security systems. The kids threw themselves into the task with great enthusiasm, and each found device brought a new sense of achievement.
Afterwards, the whole group came back together to “program” a gym sequence with János Ruzsicska, try designing a lightning protection system, and gain a glimpse into how software development connects to the world of building design.
Following the morning activities, a well-deserved pizza lunch awaited everyone, and the cheerful atmosphere was further enhanced by an Easter egg hunt, where no one left empty-handed.
One of the most anticipated parts of the day came next: the 3D experience, where children could step into a digitally walkable building with Csenge Tóth. For many, this was pure magic—both play and learning combined, as they experienced up close how a design comes to life in virtual space. After the virtual tour, the children also had the chance to try virtual firefighting using a special program under the supervision of Levi Bakai.
By the end of the day, smiles were not only on the children’s faces, but on their parents’ as well. Occasions like this are always a reminder of how important it is to spend time together, and how meaningful it is when the world of work comes a little closer to family life. On #showwhatyoudo day, we shared what we do every day—and once again, it left everyone recharged with experiences, energy, and a little extra pride.
Thank you for being with us! See you again next year!

The role of copyright in design
Before signing a design contract, it is crucial for every designer to familiarise themselves with copyright issues, which are almost always included in contracts. In the seecond part of our legal blog series, we highlight the role of copyright in design.
What is the fundamental difference between additional and supplementary work?
One of the greatest difficulties for designers during design projects is determining when requests arising from the client’s expectations or designs prepared based on the contract between the parties can be considered additional or supplementary work.
Show us where you work – A day at STUDIO IN-EX through the eyes of children
We celebrated one of the happiest days of Spring at STUDIO IN-EX: it was the MUTIHOLDOLGOZOL DAY, also known as “Show me where you work”, when children could enter the world of adults, specifically the exciting universe of architects, mechanical, electrical and structural engineers.
