We were delighted to welcome the students of BME in our office
We were delighted to welcome the students attending the BIM specialization of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in our office. First of all, our HR-generalist Andi Bányász explained how our general design office is structured, what kind of projects we have had in the past years. Then our project coordinator Bence Emődi took the floor and introduced the key role of project management. At IN-EX, a specialized team is dedicated to the background support of projects in relation to management tasks. Our PM team is responsible for keeping projects on track and monitoring them. This expert team, not common in design offices, allows our engineers to focus more on the designing process.
Next came a presentation by our BIM expert Zita Zsoldos, who showed the students the functionality and benefits of our unique applications that support BIM design. At our office, we have created a dedicated team of top BIM experts and software developers who are constantly working to optimise our internal BIM processes in order to provide our partners with state-of-the-art solutions. In addition, this team regularly develops applications to facilitate the day-to-day work of design engineers, thereby increasing efficiency and streamlining the design process.
After a short lunch break, structural engineer Gábor Pljesovszki gave a comprehensive technical presentation on the relationship between structures and BIM: how BIM enhances the accurate modelling, design and analysis of structures and the coordination between different disciplines.
The day was closed with a joint presentation by Zsolt Oláh, Gábor Pirnát and Péter Bodnár on “BIM-based design for engineering”, which showed how to minimise design errors, increase efficiency and support the entire project cycle from design to construction. They also showed how BIM enables seamless collaboration between different the disciplines such as architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural design, etc. using a common digital model.
It is of paramount importance for us to support and inspire the next generation of engineers. We always welcome enthusiastic young people who are interested in the profession, and we are proud to be able to guide them with our experience and knowledge. We believe that through shared experience and knowledge sharing, we shape the professional community of the future.

Show us where you work – A day at STUDIO IN-EX through the eyes of children
We celebrated one of the happiest days of Spring at STUDIO IN-EX: it was the MUTIHOLDOLGOZOL DAY, also known as “Show me where you work”, when children could enter the world of adults, specifically the exciting universe of architects, mechanical, electrical and structural engineers.
Hydro Extrusion – Office with a Minimalist Design
Hydro Extrusion Hungary Kft. is a subsidiary of a Norwegian parent company, so an important aspect of the interior design process was to ensure that the minimalist aesthetic and the company’s brand colors are harmoniously reflected throughout the interior spaces.
Professional day for students of civil engineering
Students from Zielinski Szilárd College of Civil Engineering have just participated in an exciting professional visit to the STUDIO IN-EX general design office.
Final exams at the BME
Thanks to the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Zsolt Oláh was invited to be an external committee member for the MSc in MSc in Construction Information Technology Engineering to review the students' thesis and attend their final exams.
Hydro Extrusion’s solutions: heat dissipation
By Hydro's aluminium foundry project presented us with an unusual design challenge. We have strong acoustic requirements to protect the neighbourhood, and that the furnaces generate a lot of heat, which we had to dissipate while minimising noise.
Hydro Extrusion’s solutions for the support structure
In our previous posts, we introduced you to our Hydro project and the design of the casting pits that form the backbone of the technology. This time we present some exciting solutions for the support structure.
